WOD:
Max reps in 2 minutes of each of the following:

  • Burpees
  • Sit ups
  • Box Jumps
  • Deadlifts at 205#
  • Jumping Air squats

Rest 2 min and repeat 1 more time!

RESULTS:
160-150 … better than I expected to do.

I was really feeling tired at the end of the day.  I’m surprised I was able to keep relativity  the same reps each round. I have to say as much as the jumping squats sucked, I actually did pretty well at them and got a fair amount of my reps, probably right around 50 each round. After a hard workout we have two images that you can look like. One is the person laying on the floor "most people" the other is Maura, not sure why she is so happy here?????

I fell into the category of being one of the ones on the floor ;-) I’m in the red short on the left…


On another note… I didn’t make to the gym yesterday, but I did go for a run with Ashely. We did my standard 5K route:

WOD

10 Deadlift’s at 135#

10 Hang Squat Cleans 135#

10 Push Presses 135#


Complete this then relax for 1 minute, repeat for a total of 4 rounds.

The goal here is to do everything everytime unbroken or to keep your times similar to each other.


Results
18:20, 95#

Did not get unbroken, but I was able to finally get several of the hang squat cleans chained together (5 once). The front squat position is rough for me by itself, let alone trying to get back to the hang or press position. 95# was a good weight… Easy on the deads, challenging on the cleans, and pefect for the press. Kept a good pace once I got into it.

10 Reps at 60% of 1 rep Max

20 Reps at 50% of 1 rep Max

30 Reps at 40% of 1 rep Max

Max Rounds in 4 Minutes of:

10 Chest to Bar Pull Ups

10 Push Ups

10 Sit Ups

Rest 30 seconds and repeat for a total of 3 rounds

With these, you can control the weight down rest only a few seconds, reset and hit it again.

Death by Thruster:

1 Thruster at 95# the first minute

2 Thrusters at 95# the second minute 

3 Thrusters at 95# the third minute and so on until you can no longer finish the number in 1 minute

8 week strength program WOD:

Complete each of the three following activities as a separate workout, complete at the highest intensity possible and experience the “Good Shit” Good Shit comes from Intensity.

1) Push Press   5-5-5-5-5

Rest 5 Minutes

2) Deadlift 20 Reps @ about 70% of 1RM, this will become your starting weight for a series of DL’s

Rest 7 Minutes

3)       3 Rounds for time

          5 Push Press @ 185#

          10 Burpees

          15 walking lunges, each leg= 1


Results:

1) 135-145-155(4)-155-155(2)
2) 205#
3) 6:22 @ 135#
My wrist is dead! The 205# for deadlift was too easy and will need to go heavier next time. At the same time 135# might have been a but heavy for the met-con as I felt like I wasn’t keeping intensity.

Went in for the noon class today because I’ll be working late…

Deadlift (1 1/2 body weight)
Bench Press (body weight)
Clean (3/4 body weight)

Results
Did as team workout (we had 3 members: 2 male, 1 female):
155 reps Deadlift (225#)
155 reps Bench Press (115#/95#)
155 reps Squat Clean (105#/95#)

Rather than just follow a pattern like 10-9-8-etc, we just did what we could… I felt like we did way way to many reps and Jason seemed to agree that we seem to take way longer than it should have. But we finished! As a team we finished up the beach press rather easily, but took forever on the squat cleans.

My squat clean is getting much better, but still hurts my wrist a bit depending on how I catch the bar. Bench and Dead where both pretty good. All and all, I’m pretty sure I’ll be nice & sore tomorrow ;-)
